Cherry Hill Mall Hosts Ceremony To Award State's Top Military Award To Veterans On Jan. 5
WHO/WHAT: Retired Army Col. Stephen G. Abel, Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs, New Jew Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, will present state military awards to 32 veterans from Burlington (14), Camden (12) and Gloucester (5) counties. Veterans will be honored at the mall's center court for their service in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Operation Desert Storm / Desert Shield and Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
WHEN: Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: Cherry Hill Mall, Rt. 38, Cherry Hill Ceremony located in mall's Center (Grand) court. The easiest way to get to this location is through the entrance located near stores “Seasons 52” and “Forever 21”. You can see the names of these stores on face of mall.
DETAILS: This ceremony marks the start of a three-day visit of the veterans outreach kiosk where veterans and their family members can learn more about benefits or entitlements that they could be eligible to receive. The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will be bringing benefit information to ‘those who served' as part of the Veterans Outreach Program to the Cherry Hill Mall from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day through Jan. 7.
