Multi-Purpose Construction To Begin At Paramus Veterans Home
WHO/WHAT: The ground breaking for the Multi-Purpose Room is a long awaited occasion for the veterans' community. It demonstrates the State's commitment to providing services for those who have served this nation. Taking part in the ground breaking include Maj. Gen. Glenn K Rieth, The Adjutant General of New Jersey and Commissioner of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMAVA), Rep. Scott Garrett, Raymond Zawacki, acting Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs and Doris Neibart, Hief Executive Officer Paramus Veteran Memorial Home.

WHERE: Veterans Memorial Home, 1 Veterans Drive, Paramus
BACKGROUND: The Division of Healthcare Services of the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs operates three Veterans Memorial Homes within the state. These homes provide long-term care for nearly 1,000 New Jersey veterans and are located here in Paramus (northern New Jersey), Menlo Park (central New Jersey) and in Vineland, providing effective and convenient service throughout the state. The homes are inspected and licensed annually by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Comprehensive services and a deep concern for the residents go hand in hand at New Jerseys' three state-operated veterans' nursing homes. |
