Veterans Outreach Program Makes Central Jersey Visit At Bridgewater Commons

 

   


WHO/WHAT: Retired Army Col. Stephen G. Abel, Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs, New Jew Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, will present state military awards to 36 veterans from Somerset (19) and Hunterdon (17) counties. Veterans will be honored at the court area near Macy's for their service in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon and Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.

 

WHEN: Tuesday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m.

 

WHERE: Bridgewater Commons, Routes 202/206, Bridgewater

Use the entrance between Lord & Taylor and Macy's on the west side of the mall closest to Routes 202/206

 

DETAILS: This ceremony marks the start of a three-day visit of the veterans outreach kiosk where veterans and their family members can learn more about benefits or entitlements that they could be eligible to receive. The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will be bringing benefit information to ‘those who served' as part of the Veterans Outreach Program to Bridgewater Commons from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day through March 4.

 

Veterans who miss the opportunity to visit the mall kiosk can call the department's toll free benefits information line any time at 1-888-8NJ VETS.
