Veterans Outreach Program Makes Jersey Shore Visit At Monmouth Mall
WHO/WHAT: Retired Army Col. Stephen G. Abel, Deputy Commissioner for Veterans Affairs, New Jew Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, will present state military awards to 19 veterans from Monmouth (17) and Ocean (1) counties. Veterans will be honored at the mall's food court area for their service in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield and Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
WHEN: Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: Monmouth Mall, Food Court, Routes 35 and 36, Eatontown.
DETAILS: This ceremony marks the start of a three-day visit of the veterans outreach kiosk where veterans and their family members can learn more about benefits or entitlements that they could be eligible to receive. The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will be bringing benefit information to ‘those who served' as part of the Veterans Outreach Program to the Monmouth Mall from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day through Feb. 4.
