New Jersey National Guard To Receive New Homeland Defense Mobile Command Vehicle
WHO/WHAT: The New Jersey National Guard takes delivery of a Mobile Command Vehicle (MVC) to be used in Law Enforcement Support of Homeland Defense and Counterdrug Operations. The MCV is a modified "Freightliner Sprinter" Cargo Van that has enhanced communications and video capabilities to include rapid mobilization to a Forward Assembly Area (ground zero), multi-band interagency radio communications, and air-to-ground tactical (encrypted) video downlink that will work with Co. C 1/224th Security & Support Battalion OH-58 helicopters
