New Jersey National Guard To Host A Fitness Challenge On The Boardwalk In Seaside Heights
WHO/WHAT: The Grand Opening of the New Jersey National Guard booth on the Seaside Heights boardwalk which will feature the “Guard Fit Challenge”, a physical endurance test that measures participants ability to perform push-ups and sit ups. Awards will be earned based on the participant's level of achievement.
WHERE: Blaine and the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights
WHEN: Monday, June 14 at 12:00 noon
Background: The grand opening the “Guard Fit Challenge” will be on Flag Day at the New Jersey National Guard booth in Seaside Heights and will continue throughout the summer with Citizen-Soldiers recognizing the efforts of those participating in the Guard Fit Challenge. The intent of the booth is to promote fitness and educate the community on the National Guard mission.

With a state and federal mission, the New Jersey National Guard members protect and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic as well as provide aid in the event of natural disasters.
