Prevention Quality Indicators (PQIs)

The Prevention Quality Indicators (PQIs) report gives health professionals, policy makers and consumers one more tool they can use in making important health care decisions. The report includes background information on the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's Quality Indicator tools, disparities by county in preventable hospitalizations and definitions of the prevention quality indicators.

Releasing the report is consistent with the Department’s effort in public reporting of hospital quality performance as an important tool in advancing health care quality improvement.
