Under state law, New Jersey hospitals are required to submit uniform data to the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services on health care facility-associated infections. The Department is required to review and analyze this data, and report the results in New Jersey's annual hospital performance report.

The first report on health care facility-associated infections will be included in the Hospital Performance Report released in 2010.
