Introduction
Caregiving is active, unpaid, and continuous help
for a frail or disabled family member, friend or neighbor. You
may run simple errands, provide transportation to the doctor, pay
a few bills or assist with almost everything. You may live close-by
or at a distance. Caregiving may create dependency and it will increase
stress for you and the ones for whom you care. But you are one of
7 million people in the United States who are considered caregivers.
Services and information are available to you.
